MAY 19, 2013– “It's all Smoke and Mirrors" PENTECOST SUNDAY
Acts 21:1-21, John 14:8-17, 25-27
Do you say Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost? There has been a lot of confusion about the "Spirit," the thrid person of the Trinity. We attribute a lot to the activity of the Spirit, yet struggle to understand how God works in us, then and now.
MAY 26, 2013– “Just a Little Lower than God - Right?!" TRINITY SUNDAY
Psalm 8, John 16:12-15
God seems to have a very high opinion of us - in spite of how we act and live out our faith.
Solely by the grace of God, we desire and declare ourselves to be an inclusive church, where all persons are welcome to come, to inquire and become part of the Faith Family in response to God's urging. We welcome all persons into membership regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, social or economic status, physical or mental challenge. We acknowledge that each of us is part of Christ's Body, the Church, not by the merit of our lives, but wholly by the grace and mercy of God revealed in Jesus Christ.
We believe that God has called into the church persons with a diversity of gifts from all life's journeys. We, therefore, desire and declare ourselves to be a church that recognizes the gifts of all members, and commit to encourage the development and use of these gifts in every aspect of the church's life and mission.
